Karlsruhe, 28.01.2026: Delivering true drop-in synthetic fuels that master every step of the value chain to ensure performance, compatibility, and scalability.
INERATEC is therefore introducing isomerization as a crucial processing step for its Fischer-Tropsch products. The process converts linear hydrocarbons into branched molecules, significantly improving low-temperature behavior and combustion properties. The result: synthetic fuels that are fully compatible with today's infrastructure, engines, and fuel standards.
For customers and partners, this means:
- Reliable fuel performance under real operating conditions
- Drop-in quality for applications such as sustainable aviation fuel (e-SAF) and synthetic diesel
- No compromises in efficiency, usability, or sustainability
With this step, INERATEC is strengthening its ability to deliver market-ready synthetic fuels on an industrial scale. Beyond fuel synthesis, the company is developing and integrating the entire Power-to-X value chain in close cooperation with strong industrial partners – from the use of green hydrogen and CO₂ to fuel processing.
The implementation is part of the Kopernikus project, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space (BMFTR) and supports the scaling and risk reduction of next-generation synthetic fuel technologies.
