Process Engineer (m/f/d) – Planning and Design of Chemical Plants

The innovative chemical reactor technology at INERATEC is a key driver of the energy transition. We build plants that convert CO₂ and renewable electricity into synthetic fuels and sustainable products.To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Process Engineer (m/f/d) / Chemical Engineer with a focus on planning, developing, designing, and optimizing complete chemical or physical plant processes. 

Your tasks

  • Creation of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) as a flowsheeting expert, for our PtX and GtX plants
  • Sizing of reactors, heat exchangers, pumps, and other plant components
  • Performing mass and energy balances as well as process simulations
  • Preparation of process data sheets for plants
  • Development of process control narratives, cause-and-effect matrices, and instrument protection concepts
  • Conducting HAZOP analyses and safety assessments
  • Coordination with construction, electrical engineering, and automation teams

Your profile

  • Degree in Process, Plant, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in plant design and process engineering, ideally in the chemical or petrochemical industry
  • Solid knowledge in plant design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat & mass transfer
  • Ideally experience in system integration and process simulation
  • Independent, responsible, and motivated working style
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
