Business Development Manager (m/f/d)
The Business Development Manager (m/f/d) is responsible for identifying, developing, and advancing business opportunities in the field of synthetic fuels (eFuels). The role focuses on market and customer development, project initiation, and the establishment of strategic partnerships along the eFuel value chain - from early opportunity assessment to handover to sales and project development.
Your tasks
- Identification and evaluation of new business opportunities (markets, segments, locations for eFuel production)
- Establishment and maintenance of strategic customer and partner relationships
- Preparation of business cases, market analyses, and pricing/value proposition arguments
- Close cooperation with sales, marketing, product management, engineering, and operations
- Collaboration in funded innovation projects (e.g., Energy Resilience)
- Developing go-to-market strategies and implementing growth initiatives
- Supporting the preparation of the partner and customer portfolio
- Accompanying exploratory talks and providing support in preparation and follow-up
- Representing the company at trade fairs, conferences, and customer appointments
- Collaborating on the submission of funding applications
Your profile
- Degree in industrial engineering, economics, engineering, or similar
- At least two to five years of professional experience in business development, sales, or project development, ideally in the energy, chemical, or fuel sector
- Good understanding of eFuels, Power-to-X, renewable energies, or related technologies
- Experience in evaluating business models and profitability calculations
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Independent, structured, and entrepreneurial approach to work
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
- Willingness to travel within Europe for business
