Team Leader mechanical design (m/f/d)

The only way we will have a real impact is by scaling our technology and planning, developing and standardising it professionally. That is why we are looking for a Team Leader for Reactor Development/Mechanical Engineering (m/f/d) with creative ideas and a strategic mindset to strengthen our "Chemical Reactors" team.

Your tasks

  • Responsibility for the management and coordination of a highly qualified team of about 10 engineers and specialists (m/f/d)
  • Responsibility for the development of next generation reactor technology from product idea to serial production
  • Continuous improvement and standardisation of our Reverse Water Gas Shift and Fischer-Tropsch reactors
  • Establishment and expansion of the product development process and development roadmap
  • Constant improvement of project management to monitor progress and target achievement
  • Ensuring technical expertise and compliance with standards
  • Close teamwork with other departments and stakeholders (plant engineering, production, quality, etc.)
  • Monitor continuously the process capability and further development of the existing processes and performance of the team

Your profile

  • Degree in science or technology (mechanical engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering or comparable field)
  • Pertinent work experience in the field of product design and process development
  • Experience in leadership
  • Knowledge of design principles and standards as well as their application in practice (Design for Manufacturing (DFM))
  • Ability to work in a highly structured manner
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving skills to review and improve existing standards
  • Continuous motivation for professional development and open-mindedness towards new trends and technologies in the field of product design and development
  • Willing to travel internationally (approx. 20%)
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken (B2)
