Strategic / technical purchaser (m/f/d) in plant engineering

INERATEC's innovative chemical reactor technology is key to the energy transition. In our modular plants, we convert greenhouse gases such as CO₂ into synthetic fuels and sustainable chemical products using renewable electricity. Together, we are shaping a climate-friendly future.To further advance our mission, we are looking for a communicative and tech-savvy individual to join us as a full-time or part-time purchaser (m/f/d) in plant engineering. 

Your tasks

  • Analysis of procurement markets and development of sustainable product group strategies, including decision-making bases, fit/gap analyses, and measures, including implementation
  • Strategic purchasing: coordination and independent handling of inquiries and tenders, as well as professional 
  • Technical purchasing: independent purchasing management in projects, from technical feasibility studies to prototypes and pre-series production to series preparation, including price and budget responsibility
  • Close cooperation with engineering to integrate commercial aspects into the product development process at an early stage
  • Interface management between engineering, production, and suppliers
  • Ensuring timely material supply, including project delivery planning, schedule control, and logistical coordination

Your profile

  • Completed commercial training with further training in business administration or a university degree (e.g., mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, business administration) or comparable qualification
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in strategic or technical purchasing, project purchasing, advanced procurement, or commodity management
  • Experience in plant engineering, special machine construction, or ideally with a connection to reactor technology
  • In-depth technical purchasing expertise and very good knowledge of materials
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Class B driver's license
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
