Process Control Engineer (m/f/d)
The innovative chemical reactor technology at INERATEC is a key driver of the energy transition. We build plants that convert CO₂ and renewable electricity into synthetic fuels and sustainable products.To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Process Control Engineer (m/f/d). Your focus will be on the design, implementation, and optimization of automation and control systems to ensure the efficient development and operation of our PtX and GtX plants.
Your tasks
- Develop, implement, and optimize control and automation concepts for our modular PtX (Power-to-X) and GtX (Gas-to-X) plants
- Create and maintain functional diagrams, control concepts, and sequential logic for plant operation
- Analyze and improve existing control strategies to enhance process stability, plant efficiency, and operational safety
- Support plant operations in case of disturbances or process deviations
- Analyze process data to identify potential improvements and optimization opportunities
- Plan, execute, and document software updates
- Contribute to safety and risk analyses (e.g., HAZOP, hazard assessments)
- Coordinate internal departments as well as external partners and service providers
- Define and further develop automation standards and process guidelines
Your profile
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in process automation or process control engineering, ideally within the chemical or petrochemical industry
- Experience in developing automation and control concepts
- Solid understanding of control and regulation systems, signal processing, and process visualization
- Knowledge of data analysis and process optimization methods
- Strong understanding of chemical plant operations and process safety
- Independent and structured working style combined with high motivation and strong teamwork skills
- Availability for occasional business trips
- Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
