Engineering Manager (m/f/d) – Power-to-X & E-Fuels Plant Engineering
INERATEC’s innovative chemical reactor technology is a key enabler of the energy transition. We build chemical plants that use greenhouse gases such as CO₂ and renewable electricity to produce synthetic fuels and sustainable products.As Engineering Manager (m/f/d), you will act as the central technical interface for the planning, execution, and operational realization of complex Power-to-X and e-fuels plants within an EPC/EPCM environment. You will lead engineering activities across disciplines and coordinate interfaces between process engineering, plant design, electrical/instrumentation engineering, automation, and permitting.
Your tasks
- Overall technical responsibility for EPC plants, including engineering coordination across all disciplines
- Leadership of the internal engineering team and interface management with Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Project Management
- Management of external engineering partners, EPC contractors, and specialist planners, including tendering, contract and performance management, and claims management
- Coordination and approval of process engineering fundamentals, including PFDs, P&IDs, balances, control concepts, and safety concepts
- Change management, including assessment of technical, schedule, and commercial impacts
- Review and approval of technical calculations, supplier documentation, and manufacturing/installation documentation
- Technical support for permitting and approval engineering, including coordination with authorities, inspection bodies, and external experts
Your profile
- University degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Plant Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience as a Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager (m/f/d) in plant construction and process engineering, ideally in the chemical or petrochemical industry
- Experience in technically leading engineering teams within EPC/EPCM projects
- Independent, proactive, and responsible working style
- Strong assertiveness and a solution-oriented approach
- Very good written and spoken German and English
